President's Message

Hello there! 

I'm Mike Lovelace and I'd like to welcome you to the hands-down, best IMA chapter on the planet!  Under Torey Reese's excellent leadership in the most recent fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, we were the FIRST chapter to be awarded with IMA's top level of recognition - in March!  =)

The challenge this fiscal year is to spread the word of what we're doing to even more local San Antonio professionals and increase our in-person attendance to 50 or 60 per meeting.  This outreach will increase the valuable networking that we are able to do. We are the most agnostic group you could ever imagine - we have many non-accounting members in HR, IT, and other business specialties that get just as much from membership as our accounting and finance members.

This attendance increase can only happen if you take a moment to invite a colleague to come with you.  The chapter will pick up the cost of their first meeting - just email us at sanantonioima@gmail.com and let us know they are coming.

Again, thank you to Torey for her tireless work strengthening our chapter. 

I'm excited to see us continue to increase the distance between San Antonio / South Texas Chapter and the rest of our global association with our continued commitment to strong, relevant CPE and powerful networking opportunities!
