Message from the President

Dear IMA SA Family,

Happy Spring everyone!!

As we are getting better at hybrid meetings, we are excited to work even more closely with Juern Technology (past presenters and sponsors of chapter meetings and our Annual Texas Council Conference last October) to improve content delivery. They have agreed to handle the audiovisuals for in-person as well as virtual broadcast. The result of this partnership will get better with every meeting for sure!

It is also delightful to see an increase in student membership in the chapter. This could not have been possible without Addison Findley's relentless efforts and the rest of the Campus Outreach team who gave 18 presentations last year. As Mike mentioned at the meeting last week, an active chapter will do 5 in a year! This did not go unnoticed by Global. Check out this recent thread posted by Tyler Skelton, which mentions 8 outstanding campus influencers in USA and guess what, three of them belong to our chapter: Addison, Amanda Craig and Mike Lovelace.

Our outreach efforts have also created a very diverse new board. Not only do we show diversity in race, professional background, ethnicity, culture, age, and gender, but also the physical location. For the first time, we have board members from North Dakota, Houston, Mexico City, Virginia, along with the San Antonio area who will be helping us row the boat for the next year. I am enthusiastic about the upcoming year under the leadership of Torey Reese (our current Treasurer) - as she has agreed to step up to lead the chapter as President for 2022-3.

Thank you for allowing me to be your President over the last fiscal year. I have grown personally and professionally in each Board role I have taken on and I encourage each of you to become more active with our chapter. You too will grow by doing so.
